These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Lune, the mobile application and related services operated by us ("Lune," "we," "us," or "our"). By creating an account or using Lune, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use Lune.

Lune is a private ambient-presence app for two people. Your partner's status, mood, and latest short "whisper" can appear on a home-screen widget; you update yours from the app.
Lune is built for one connection between two people, not a social network, group chat, or general messaging platform.
You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, if higher) to use Lune. By using Lune, you represent that you meet this requirement.
You may sign in with Google or email one-time passcode (OTP). You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping access to your sign-in method secure. Do not share your account. One person should use one account.
You connect with one partner using invite codes. Once paired, presence information is shared with that partner, including:
Status, mood, custom labels, battery, display names, and pairing metadata are visible to our servers so we can operate the service. Disconnecting ends the active bond; you'll need a new invite code to pair again.
A whisper is a short note (maximum 60 characters). On the partner's widget, a new whisper replaces the previous one — whispers do not queue. Whisper history in the app keeps prior whispers.
Whisper text is end-to-end encrypted. We store ciphertext and cannot read whisper content. We can still see related metadata, such as who is paired with whom and when a whisper was sent.
You are responsible for what you send. Do not use whispers for illegal, harmful, or abusive content.
When you first successfully pair, we start a 7-day trial that does not require payment details. The trial is stamped once per account and is not reset if you disconnect or pair again later.
When the trial ends, Lune hard-locks until someone in the pair has an active subscription. Existing data is not deleted because the trial ended; paying restores access.
Lune Pro is an auto-renewing subscription billed through Google Play (monthly or annual). Prices shown in the app come from Google Play for your account's store country.
One subscription unlocks the pair. If either person is in an active trial or has an active Pro subscription (including any applicable grace period), both people in the bond get full access.
Manage or cancel anytime in Google Play Store subscriptions. Cancellation stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the current paid period unless Google Play's policies say otherwise. Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policies.
If you disconnect while subscribed: Pro stays with the paying account. The other person loses access until someone unlocks again. A new partner may inherit access from the paying account's entitlement while bonded.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.
You can delete your account yourself in Settings → Account. Deletion permanently removes your Lune profile, pairing, and presence data as described in our Privacy Policy.

Deleting your Lune account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. If you subscribe, manage or cancel billing in the Play Store separately.
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information. By using Lune, you also acknowledge that policy.
Lune is provided "as is" and "as available." To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Lune is a presence and communication convenience — not an emergency, safety, medical, or location-tracking service. Widget and push updates may be delayed or unavailable due to device settings, battery restrictions, network conditions, or platform limits. We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free delivery.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we (and our operators, affiliates, and suppliers) are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of Lune.
Our total liability for any claim relating to Lune is limited to the greater of (a) the amount you paid us for Lune in the twelve months before the claim, or (b) USD $50 — except where liability cannot be limited under applicable law.
We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of Lune after an update means you accept the revised Terms. If you do not agree, stop using Lune and delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Courts in Kolkata, West Bengal, India have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising from these Terms or Lune, except where mandatory consumer protections in your country require otherwise.
